What kind of evening is it?
Mara Masaeva opens with a short, checkable account of what happened with AI in 2026. No predictions: events with dates and sources, and a clear line between what we know and what remains uncertain.
Then the room takes over. Speakers from different parts of the field answer questions and can disagree with each other. There is no sequence of talks and nobody represents one official position. The conversation is the programme.
Who is speaking?
Mara Masaeva
Organiser, AI engineer and speaker
Johan Loeckx
Assistant professor and lab manager at the VUB AI Lab
Thomas Winters
Postdoctoral researcher in AI and computational humour at KU Leuven
More names will be added as other guests confirm.
Why STUK?
STUK places AIAIAI in an evening where technology, bodies and imagination meet. The conversation takes place immediately before Dan Mussett's performance Fully Automated Luxury Dancing!, at 20:00 in the Soetezaal.
The performance explores how algorithms and automation shape our desires, movements and ideas about the future. AIAIAI starts from the same questions and approaches them through recent events, research and a conversation with the audience. The performance is a separate part of STUK's programme.
How this relates to the dossier
This site is the evening's factual foundation. Every entry gives its source, date and level of certainty. The dossier will continue after 24 November.
The format is inspired by AGI.WTF in Berkeley, but AIAIAI is independent and adapted to Leuven and STUK's programme.
